Brain Working Recursive Therapy

Content free therapy that can bring rapid results

BWRT® – A dynamic, rapid results therapy.

This exciting new therapy has helped many people experience rapid positive change for issues including anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Panic Attacks, Irrational Jealousy, Anger Management, Habits and much more.  So what is this new therapy and how does it work?

What is BWRT?

Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) is an innovative new therapy and is having some remarkable results. Underpinned by scientific research, BWRT is a new concept of psychotherapy and counselling. The beauty of this therapy is that it is almost entirely content free.  This means there is often no need to talk about issues which are potentially very painful or which the client does not wish to discuss.

What happens in a BWRT Session?

In a session, the client is guided to use just their own thoughts – without the therapist even needing to know what these thoughts are – in a special way to create a totally natural change that comes from within the client rather than something the therapist says or does.  All the work is done in a completely awake state (it is not a form of hypnosis – it is completely logical, practical and down-to-earth) and all it needs to be successful is for the client to want something in their life to be different.

BWRT® has recently achieved the status of ‘British Brain Working Research Society’ and is also registered as an institute. All practitioners are required to adhere to a strict code of ethics and receive full mentoring support provided by the BWRT® Institute.  A list of all approved practitioners in your area can be found at www.bwrt.org.  As an Advanced BWRT practitioner, I am able to work with clients both face to face or via Skype/FaceTime and have worked with a wide range of issues. My practice fees can be found on the Information Page. For a free initial consultation contact me now on 01793 677817 or fill in the contact form.

relaxation for children

Therapy for Children

There are many reasons why children might need therapy and many reasons why they are often scared at the prospect of having to talk with a stranger about something they often don’t understand themselves.  For this reason, I focus on ensuring you and your child feel secure and comfortable with the therapy program and environment.

As the BWRT Specialist for working with Children, I also provide advise and information to therapists about using BWRT with children and young people.

The First Session

Initially, I meet with the parent/carer to establish what the problem is from their perspective, the child’s social and cultural background, and any other influencing factors.  At this stage, I discuss the role of the parent/carer during the therapy process, and how they can best support their child. In some cases, parents/carers have found it helpful to have therapy themselves.  Many have also found that they can learn new parenting skills that are specific to their child’s personality type. As a parent myself I often wondered why one child could be so different from another even though they were raised in the same environment; learning about genetic influences, sibling order etc really opened my eyes up to how I could become a better parent!

The First Session with your Child

During the first working session with your child, I will encourage them to feel relaxed and at ease through play and art therapy.  I like to find out your child’s interests and hobbies, including the types of films, books and games they enjoy and will attempt to include aspects of these into their therapy.  In this way, each therapy session is unique to your child. Using child friendly language, I help children to understand how and why hypnotherapy and BWRT works and how it might help them to feel better. I also ensure that they know exactly what each session will include prior to the session; in this way there are no surprises! The majority of children respond extremely well to hypnotherapy and BWRT and the results are often remarkable.  Both of these therapies have been used to help with issues such as anxiety, anger management, bed wetting, fears & phobias, school related anxieties, gaming addiction, trauma and many other issues of a primarily psychological nature.  To book a free initial consultation call me now on 01793 677817 or fill in the contact form.
